Abstract:  J.B. Stoner, a Georgia native, was known for his strong opinions about segregation, race and politics. He was a member of the Ku Klux Klan and National States’ Rights Party and founded the Stoner’s Christian Anti-Jewish Party. In 1977, Stoner was indicted, and was later convicted and imprisoned, for the 1958 bombing of an African-American church in Birmingham, Alabama. He ran for numerous public offices including governor of Georgia in 1970. This collection contains Stoner’s gubernatorial campaign poster and a flier for a 1974 meeting of the National States’ Rights Party.
